The electrical energy definition

We can define energy as the capacity of the work. It can also define as stored work. The energy can never be created or be destroyed but it can be transferred one shape to another shape. The electrical energy can be defined, as the power consumed for a particular period. It is measured in terms of a kilowatt-hour. The one-kilowatt hour is the total energy consumed. When 1 KW load is operated for one hour it extraction 1 kWh of energy.
Energy transmission ideas: The main component of the economic development of a country is energy. Today’s civil society is too dependent on electricity that life without electricity is mostly unimaginable. The main accomplishable theme of transmission and distribution system of electronic energy is to reach the electricity to the load center in a remote area from the power plant. For many logical reasons, the power plant is often set far away from the load center. The power produced in power plant has to transmit, one area to another area, through transmission distribution grid line. For power, transmission it is mandatory to keep notice so that the transmission loss will be less, voltage regulation will be good, above all transmission cost will be less. The generator’s generating voltage cannot be increased willfully due to some restrictions.

Therefore, a generator’s voltage is selected by considering the capacity and standard generating voltage of the generator. Similarly, transmission of line and distribution voltage is selected by considering the length of the transmission line, a power of transmission, the capacity of transmission. For transmission and distribution, some standard voltage is common throughout the world. A highest optimum value is selected for a system by considering the capacity of the generator, standard generating voltage, the length of the transmission line, standard transmission voltage, standard distribution voltage, etc. Besides, availability of energy source, to keep environment pollute free, security of people etc. are some reasons for keeping the load center far away from the power plant. As a result, transmission cost increases. To decrease the transmission cost or transmission loss, to increase the efficiency of the system and decrease the voltage drop, a voltage of high power is conducted. Although there is also a limitation of voltage increments. It is noted that D.C. transmission is more convenient than A.C. transmission in many ways, that’s why many countries are setting power transmission in D.C. In D.C. transmission the loss is less, efficiency increases, a drop is less, overall the transmission cost is less. At present, a maximum of 400 KV D.C. transmission becomes possible by using mercury arc rectifier.

Standard generating voltage

Standard Generating voltage: The different countries in the world generate electricity voltage of many quality. They are as follows- 0.4 KV, 3.3 KV, 6.6 KV, 10.5 KV, 11.0 KV, 13.2 KV, 15.75 KV and 33.0 KV. But the commonly used production voltage 1 kilovolt (KV).

Standard Frequency: All frequencies used for the AC system in the world, they are as follows: 25 Hz, 50 Hz and 60 Hz.

Transmission Voltage: Beside A.C., power transmission with high voltage in D.C. is setting in many countries of the world at present.
C. The power can send far away with high efficiency if the transmission voltage is high. For this reason, the transmission voltage is increasing day by day overcoming the drawbacks of high voltage. At present, the highest transmission voltage is- 525 KV, 750 KV and 1000 KV to AC, 400 KV to DC.
